CATUFFE LAMPS

These classic French lamps are hand-made by brothers François and Frédéric Catuffe in the Tarn region of France. The ceiling rose, counter weight and lamp shade are ceramic and all the metal parts are made from brass which has been given a patina. The shade and ceiling rose are hand-glazed. As a result the colour is not necessarily uniform; the glaze on the shade has a slightly crackled effect, and there are variations from one batch to the next. This is not a defect but is part of the hand-made charm of the product. The wiring used is a grey fabric-covered twisted flex which gives the lamps its antique feel. We also offer a simple suspended version, as well as a matching wall-mounted lamp. Available in natural and jade.
